NYC Workshops got its start partnering with DigiComArts and Lights Camera Read to do media and artistic workshops at the New York Public Library with branches including Inwood, Morrisania, Grand Central and Columbus. These days the workshops of NYC Workshops are pretty much all on the web working with Art Gush, the online education site for ArtisticPreneurs. Lights Camera Read is also a part of the equation authoring the Art Gush courses. This works well for NYC Workshops since their and Lights Camera Read’s missions are aligned being that both organizations are concerned with empowering artists and small businesses so that they are able to create their own opportunities.
The success of shows like “Shark Tank” are showing that Entertainment Entrepreneurship is more and more frequently becoming a way that people are making their living. It can be scary at first launching your own business as an ArtisticPreneur but as the saying goes, if you “feel the fear and do it anyway” you can scale your way to success.
And the terrific news for ArtisticPreneurs is that as of the writing of this blog entry, Art Gush is in the midst of releasing a six part online course series entitled “How to Make Money as an Artist.” This is a topic near and dear to the hearts of many ArtisticPreneurs who are always on the lookout for ways of adding more artistic income streams to their bottom line.
